
BTS continued their steady popularity by ranking number one for four consecutive weeks on the US Billboard 'Global' chart.
In the latest chart released by the US music media Billboard on April 21 (dated April 25), the title track "SWIM" from BTS's fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" ranked number one for four consecutive weeks on both the 'Global 200' and 'Global (Excluding US)' charts. Thirteen vocal tracks from this album, except for the bell sound of Seongdeokdaewang Sinjong, entered the 'Global 200' chart, and all tracks ranked within the top 50 on the 'Global (Excluding US)' chart.
BTS's performance was also remarkable on major charts. The "ARIRANG" album ranked third on the 'Billboard 200', and the title track "SWIM" reached number 10 on the 'Hot 100' chart. Other tracks such as "Body to Body" (69th), "2.0" (88th), and "Hooligan" (90th) also remained on the 'Hot 100' chart for a month. Additionally, the album achieved consistent results across various charts, including four consecutive weeks at number one on 'Digital Song Sales', second place on 'Top Album Sales', third on 'Vinyl Albums', fourth on 'Top Streaming Albums', and fifth on 'Artist 100'.
On the 9th, BTS held the first concert of the "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'" at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex. This tour consists of 85 shows in 34 cities, setting the record for the most shows in a single tour by a Korean artist. The concerts in Goyang and Tokyo attracted over 240,000 attendees, and the North American tour will continue at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, USA, on the 25th, 26th, and 28th.
Furthermore, BTS is conducting the "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG" project in connection with the world tour. Starting in Seoul, this project will expand to Las Vegas, USA, in May and Busan in June. It is characterized by turning entire cities into cultural spaces through installation art that combines music and media.
