Singer and actor IU shared various episodes from the filming site of the drama '21st Century Great Lady' and a radio appearance.

IU appeared on the radio show 'Perfect Day with Lee Sangsoon' in a video released on the YouTube channel 'Idol Radio Universe.' Visiting the MBC radio station after a long time, IU explained the reason for appearing, saying, "When I came here today, I thought I could meet the president, so I naturally wanted to do it without a second thought." Lee Sangsoon commented on the drama '21st Century Great Lady,' in which IU stars, saying, "I'm really looking forward to this work as well. Of course, I will watch it."

Regarding actor Byun Woo-seok, who works alongside IU in the drama, IU praised him, saying, "He is really a cute person. When I saw him on TV, he looked very tall and cool. But when I actually met him, the most representative impression of Woo-seok was that he is a very cute and kind person." Lee Sangsoon added, "Park Bo-gum and others like him, I don't know why they are all so kind."

Meanwhile, IU released behind-the-scenes footage of the '21st Century Great Lady' filming on their YouTube channel 'Lee Ji-geum [IU Official].' IU shared thoughts on the new role, saying, "This is my first time playing a representative role. It seems to suit my temperament, and I feel a sense of responsibility." When the production team said, "You once said being a representative was your dream. It seems like you are getting closer to that dream step by step," IU replied, "If you say it, it will come true." On set, IU jokingly said, "Right now, I am number one in the hierarchy."

At the filming site, a staff member joked, "I came to manage the character controversy. I'm doing image making," creating a cheerful atmosphere. IU said about filming with Byun Woo-seok, "I don't like it when everyone finishes early; I prefer to be the only one who finishes early," to which Byun Woo-seok responded, "I've been like that so far. I should hide so you can't say goodbye."

Regarding the filming in hot weather, IU expressed difficulties, saying, "Today is another battle with sweat." They mentioned filming in velvet costumes even when it was 30 degrees Celsius at 1 a.m. After the much-talked-about wall kiss scene, IU shared, "It was the ending scene and the first kissing scene, so it took a long time."

During the filming in Gyeongju, IU said they stopped at a rest area and ate tteokbokki and walnut cookies. When a staff member joked, "We also stopped at the rest area, but did you eat alone? There were so many staff members, but you ate alone? Heeju's character," IU replied, "Still, they don't dare say 'IU's character,' they say Heeju's character."

Meanwhile, the MBC Friday-Saturday drama '21st Century Great Lady' is reported to be showing an upward trend in both viewership ratings and OTT indicators as the romance between Seong Hee-ju (IU) and Prince Ian (Byun Woo-seok) intensifies.
