Jungkook "I need to improve my English skills... Small talk and free talk are important" Rolling Stone interview

BTS Jungkook mentioned his efforts to improve his English skills.

In an interview released on the Rolling Stone YouTube channel, Jungkook shared his thoughts on studying English. He said, "I feel like I've tried every English-related app out there, but the most important thing is your own will," revealing that he is trying various methods. He also confessed, "I think you need to be able to do small talk or free talk in English to break through the barrier. But English is really difficult."

When the host asked about the meaning of being a solo pop star, Jungkook replied, "Honestly, I still don't think of myself as a pop star." He continued, "I'm grateful that you conduct interviews like that and that the fans think that way too," adding, "So I hope to keep improving until I feel that way myself. Someday."

When the host complimented Jungkook's English pronunciation and singing skills, Jungkook said, "I think that's at least a relief. I seem to have a good ear. Since it's not Korean but another language, if the people who speak that language find it awkward or unpleasant, it wouldn't be good, so I personally put in a lot of effort."
