The Boyz member Sunwoo raised doubts about the claim by his agency, One Hundred, that payment of settlement money has been completed.
On the 21st, Sunwoo posted a screenshot of an article stating that One Hundred had completed the settlement payments to The Boyz members on his SNS. In the post, Sunwoo underlined the word "settlement" and added a question mark and an "X," indirectly expressing that the information was not true.
On the same day, the legal representative of One Hundred's CEO Cha Ga-won issued an official statement saying, "The exclusive contract fees and settlement payments have already been completed for the members, and future payment plans have been transparently established." Regarding the lawsuit filed by nine members of The Boyz against CEO Cha on charges of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, they claimed it was a "baseless, smear-driven lawsuit." One Hundred denied any embezzlement and also warned of legal action for false accusations.
The Boyz members, except for New, declared the termination of their exclusive contracts with One Hundred Label and filed a lawsuit against CEO Cha Ga-won on embezzlement charges. The Boyz's legal representatives confirmed, "It is true that CEO Cha Ga-won was recently sued for embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes." The agency also expressed support for The Boyz's full-group activities.
