Actor Go Yoon-jung captured viewers' attention from the first broadcast by playing the role of PD Byun Eun-ah at the film company Choi Film in JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness" (hereafter "Moja Mussa").
"Moja Mussa" is a work depicting a person's search for peace amid envy and jealousy, struggling alone while friends around them succeed. Go Yoon-jung appears as Byun Eun-ah, a sharp scenario reviewer nicknamed "Axe" in the industry. In episodes 1 and 2, she showed a cold and clear character by delivering harsh and precise scenario critiques during a confrontation with Hwang Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan). She revealed a presence that probes others without emotion, based on her own standards.
However, after the critique, Byun Eun-ah is shown bleeding from her nose due to extreme stress, revealing a backstory continuing from her childhood. In a scene where she bursts out emotionally at the criticism directed at Dong-man, the line "If I say nothing, it's like I don't even exist, so how can I stay quiet?" expressed the inner conflict hidden beneath her calmness. Despite her cold attitude, Eun-ah also showed a gaze that tries to understand others.
Go Yoon-jung conveyed the character's complex inner world through a restrained tone, delicate facial expressions, and subtle eye movements. She was praised for finely portraying the character's inner feelings without exaggerated expressions, enhancing the character's credibility. Especially in the process of dealing with the unrecognized Dong-man, she demonstrated detailed acting skills by naturally connecting the moments when her emotions wavered.
There is growing interest in what emotional changes Byun Eun-ah, played by Go Yoon-jung, will show going forward. Meanwhile, "Moja Mussa" airs every Saturday and Sunday on JTBC.
