The Boyz 9 members claim 'unpaid settlement money' from 100% Label... Contract termination notice and embezzlement lawsuit legal dispute

Amid the dispute between the group The Boyz and their agency, One Hundred Label, which has escalated to allegations of non-payment of settlement money and embezzlement charges, both parties have presented their respective positions.

Kim Moon-hee, attorney at law firm Yulchon and legal representative of the nine members of The Boyz, stated in an official position that contrary to the agency's announcement of "completion of settlement payment," no payment has been received to date, including unpaid settlement money for the third and fourth quarters of 2025. Attorney Kim explained that the payment deadlines had been repeatedly postponed and reversed even before the artist filed for a provisional injunction, and normal payments were never made. Furthermore, during the response to the provisional injunction to suspend the exclusive contract, the agency promised to pay the settlement money and delay damages by a specified payment date, but no actual payment was made.

The nine members of The Boyz have filed a complaint against One Hundred's CEO Cha Ga-won on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement). Regarding this, their legal representative stated that the investigation is proceeding lawfully, and the Yongsan Police Station transferred the case to the Financial Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on April 20. The artists' side also stated that they are sincerely cooperating with the investigative authorities by submitting materials and following procedures as requested.

One Hundred Label has denied the embezzlement allegations made by The Boyz. Hyun Dong-yeop, attorney for One Hundred, asserted, "The embezzlement charges raised by The Boyz are completely unfounded," and claimed that the agency has faithfully fulfilled its settlement obligations. He also stated that they are considering legal action, including charges of false accusation. The agency added that it has already paid the members large exclusive contract fees and settlement money, and that future settlement plans have been transparently established.

Separately from the embezzlement complaint, the nine members of The Boyz have also filed for a provisional injunction to nullify their exclusive contracts. The members claim that the agency has not paid settlement money since July of last year, violated their right to inspect settlement documents, and breached management duties. In response, One Hundred has maintained its position that it cannot accept the request to terminate the contract.

The dispute over the validity of the termination of the exclusive contract between The Boyz and One Hundred will be decided by the court through the provisional injunction case. Amid ongoing conflicts with the agency, The Boyz will hold a solo concert at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Seoul, from the 24th to the 26th.
