IU recently revealed their unchanged friendship with the couple Lee Sang-soon and Lee Hyori in the newly released YouTube channel video "Idol Radio Universe."

The video featured IU appearing as a guest on MBC FM4U's "A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon." When IU entered the studio, Lee Sang-soon warmly greeted them with a hug, saying, "Oh, it's been a while." The two first connected in 2017 as the guesthouse owner and part-time worker on JTBC variety show "Hyori's Homestay."

IU presented a gift prepared for Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon, saying, "Sister, please have some yakgwa." Lee Sang-soon asked, "Do you still eat sweet things these days?" and handed IU some chocolate. IU shared their thoughts, saying, "I will enjoy these chocolates one by one while feeling the warm heart of the owner. I am always very thankful and truly, truly love you very much."

During the break in the broadcast, Bae Cheol-soo visited IU and praised them, saying, "I'm watching well. 'Deceived Completely' was very fun, and 'My Mister' was very sad." It was mentioned that IU and Bae Cheol-soo met on the radio 10 years ago.

IU expressed their feelings about the broadcast, saying, "Since Sang-soon owner was the DJ, I felt a bit more comfortable and the conversation flowed more easily. But it was too short. I will come back someday to share the stories we couldn't finish."

Meanwhile, after "Hyori's Homestay," there were rumors of a rift as no further interactions between IU and Lee Hyori were known. However, last year on the YouTube channel "Pingeego," Lee Hyori mentioned their friendship, saying, "There are a few people who take care of me, including Yoo Jae-suk oppa and IU, and I'm very thankful. Even small gestures mean a lot to me."
