In episode 4 of JTBC's "Hidden Singer 8," Davichi member Lee Haeri appeared as the fourth original singer and won second place.
On the show, Lee Haeri took the stage, and her fellow group member Kang Minkyung participated as a hidden judge. Kang Minkyung expressed confidence, saying, "I think I can easily identify Lee Haeri. I can get all the answers right in round 4." Lee Haeri advised Kang Minkyung, "Don't think of this as entertainment; think of it as a documentary. Even if I sing terribly, you must not get it wrong." In response, Kang Minkyung said, "I've listened to her for 24 years. If I can't get it right, I think Davichi should disband," mentioning the possibility of the group's breakup.
Round 1 began with Davichi's debut song, "Even If I Hate You, I Love You." Lee Haeri expressed concern that her vocal style had changed from the past, but her actual performance resembled the original recording. The impersonators' skills were formidable, and Lee Haeri barely advanced to round 2. Kang Minkyung advised, "You need to sing in a way that clearly shows it's Lee Haeri."
In round 2, the song "8282" was selected, and everyone enjoyed the stage together. When the first verse ended sooner than expected, Soyou said, "That's too harsh," and MC Jun Hyunmoo led the atmosphere, saying, "What can we do if the song is like this!" Many judges expressed difficulty in voting, but Kang Minkyung accurately identified Lee Haeri's position. Lee Haeri overcame the risk of elimination.
Round 3 featured the drama "Iris 2" OST "Don't You Know?" Lee Haeri surprised everyone by appearing in an unexpected position among the judges. Song Eunyi admired the impersonators' skills, and Kim Junho said he figured out Lee Haeri's position and shouted loudly.
Round 4 started with "Don't Say Goodbye." Kang Minkyung correctly answered all the way through round 4, achieving a 100% accuracy rate. Song Eunyi said, "I cheated for the first time," revealing she knew Lee Haeri's position by Kang Minkyung's expression, and Park Taehwan said, "It touched my eardrums," correctly identifying the singer. However, the final winner was the impersonator of "Hwacheon-gun Lee Haeri." The impersonator said, "This moment feels like a gift," and Kang Minkyung said, "I wanted Lee Haeri to win, but seeing so many people congratulating her, I'm glad she was eliminated."
That day's broadcast recorded a 3.0% viewership rating in the metropolitan area and 2.9% nationwide. The "Hidden Singer 8" episode featuring Kim Hyunjung will air on the 28th at 8:50 PM.
