Announcer Eom Ji-in revealed on KBS2's "The Manager Has Donkey Ears" that she plans to give 50,000 won as a wedding gift to her direct junior announcer Nam Hyun-jong, sparking a debate among the cast about the appropriate amount for a wedding gift.
Eom Ji-in, known as a close senior who helped Nam Hyun-jong prepare for his wedding, explained that she set the amount at 50,000 won because Nam Hyun-jong did not attend her own wedding. She also cited the company atmosphere, saying, "The appropriate amount among colleagues in the company is 50,000 won." Eom Ji-in added, "I've never seen anyone in our company want to give 300,000 won. If you put in 300,000 won, they call you asking if you made a mistake," which made the studio burst into laughter.
In response, Park Myung-soo argued, "These days, the basic meal cost starts at 100,000 won, so at least 200,000 won is necessary," and Jeon Hyun-moo suggested that since they work together on the show, 300,000 won would be appropriate. On the other hand, Eom Ji-in maintained her stance that giving a large amount would actually be burdensome.
Meanwhile, Kim Sook surprised everyone by saying she would give 10 million won as a wedding gift to a close friend. She said, "For a close friend's wedding gift, it has to be 10 million won," adding, "However, my close friends Song Eun-i, Lee Young-ja, Choi Hwa-jung, and Choi Kang-hee are not getting married, so the wedding gift fund is secure." The broadcast airs on the 26th at 4:40 PM.
