Model and broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung reveals her journey of challenging the Paris Fashion Week runway again in her 50s.

In the first episode of MBC's new variety show "Sora and Jin-kyung," Hong Jin-kyung is shown strictly following a diet to prepare for the Paris stage. For breakfast, she chose a protein-focused diet excluding rice, including pumpkin porridge, soy milk, chickpeas, and tempeh, a traditional Indonesian fermented soybean product. Regarding this, Hong Jin-kyung said, "I don't want to have any regrets about this precious opportunity that came in my 50s." Her close friend, actor Lee Dong-hwi, joked in the studio, "You should just change your name to 'Bean Jin-kyung.'"

The show will also reveal behind-the-scenes stories about Hong Jin-kyung, such as how she was inspired to become a model by Lee So-ra and the story of her mother selling a gold bracelet from the wardrobe to support her daughter's modeling career.

Hong Jin-kyung shared her feelings from Paris, saying, "It was a shoot full of daily variables. The date to return to Seoul was fixed, but time kept passing, and I had no idea whether I would get the audition or not, so I was just waiting for contact blindly, making every day tense." She added, "I hope viewers look forward to seeing how Sora and I overcome these situations."

"Sora and Jin-kyung" captures the efforts of Lee So-ra, the winner of the first Supermodel Contest, and Hong Jin-kyung, who won the Best Pose Award at the second Supermodel Contest, as they strive to walk the runway in their 50s. The show premieres on the 26th at 9:10 PM.
