Big Bang celebrated their 20th anniversary by launching official SNS accounts and starting a full-scale project. On the 21st at 8:19 PM, Big Bang simultaneously opened an official community and SNS channels on the global fandom platform Weverse. It is reported that the members' strong will played a significant role in establishing these SNS accounts.
YG Entertainment, in charge of Big Bang's 20th anniversary project, stated, "Through this channel, we will get closer to the hearts of fans under the name Big Bang." The newly opened SNS accounts attracted attention by following not only the YG account and members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung but also T.O.P's account, who had declared his withdrawal.
On the 3rd, T.O.P released his first full-length album "Multiple Perspectives," in which he directly mentioned Big Bang, effectively declaring a complete separation. The album included his personal stories such as marijuana smoking charges, denial of Big Bang's career, and retirement declaration. The track "Obaya" contains lyrics like, "Beautiful, each must go their own way, the car that stopped due to mixed feelings, it was flashy but game over, five directions, I'm game over," "Leaving behind a glorious old history, with new determination, I'm so sorry but I loved, I'm leaving Big Bang," and "The five were happier, burying endlessly heavy dreams in my heart, I will decorate more beautifully, I'm over, I'm over."
Recently, Big Bang performed on the stage of the American '2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,' where they left T.O.P's voice intact during the final song "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter." During this performance, G-Dragon looked up at the sky and made a saluting gesture as T.O.P's voice played.
The fact that Big Bang's official SNS accounts followed T.O.P's account has drawn fans' attention. Big Bang has also officially announced their world tour and new album release.
