Lee Jong-hyuk revealed the recent status of his son Junsu as a college student.

Lee Jong-hyuk appeared as a guest with Go Soo on the 68th episode of JTBC variety show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014," where his image as a friendly father, known from the past MBC variety show "Dad! Where Are We Going?" was mentioned. Kim Sung-joo shared that Lee Jong-hyuk raised his son freely and recounted an anecdote where Junsu cheerfully said, "Dad, I'm sleeping over there."

Lee Jong-hyuk spoke about the changes since Junsu became a college student, saying, "When I call and ask, 'What are you doing?' he confidently replies, 'I'm drinking,' which surprises me." Also, Lee Jong-hyuk's refrigerator shown on the broadcast was full of side dishes, and he said, "The kids eat all of that. Junsu eats almost everything," adding that there is hardly anything left for himself.

Lee Jong-hyuk married a non-celebrity in 2002 and has two sons, Lee Tak-soo and Lee Junsu. The eldest son, Lee Tak-soo, is 23 years old and is studying in the Department of Theater and Film at Dongguk University, while the younger son, Lee Junsu, is a freshman in the Department of Theater at Chung-Ang University's School of Performing Arts and Film. Both sons aspire to become actors.

On April 23, Lee Jong-hyuk appeared on SBS PowerFM's "Escape at 2PM Cultwo Show" and revealed, "Tak-soo is 181 cm tall, and Junsu is 194 cm tall," and shared that Tak-soo will appear in the play "Dead Poets Society," opening in July, alongside Cha In-pyo, Oh Man-seok, and Yeon Jung-hoon.
