The group UNCHILD successfully completed their first week of music show promotions with their debut single "We Are UNCHILD."
Starting on the 23rd with Mnet's "M Countdown," UNCHILD appeared consecutively on KBS2's "Music Bank," MBC's "Show! Music Core," and SBS's "Inkigayo," showcasing their title track "UNCHILD." Members Park Yaeun, Hiki, Tina, Ako, Yvonne, and Na Ha-eun all used handheld microphones, demonstrating live skills and stage manners beyond those of typical rookies.
The debut single "We Are UNCHILD," released on the 21st, is an album expressing their ambition to carve their own path without being bound by the world's standards. The title track "UNCHILD" involved High Up Entertainment's chief producer Rado in its production and features a garage electronic pop genre characterized by rough electric guitar riffs and psychedelic sounds. The song conveys a message of overcoming fear and embarking on a new adventure.
UNCHILD embodied their unique "Freaky vibe" on stage with a "Gen Z punk" styling that combines 90s punk rock sensibility and K-pop elements in a mix-and-match look. All members performed dynamic choreography while holding handheld microphones, delivering unwavering live vocals with standout high notes and harmonies. The chorus, repeating "WE ARE UNCHILD," and a high-level dance break, which the members directly participated in planning, enhanced the stage's completeness.
UNCHILD plans to continue their activities through various music shows and content in the future.
