Kim Yong Bin visited his hometown Daegu during his vacation. While looking around the house where his grandmother's traces remained, he found carefully collected newspaper clippings and was deeply moved. He revealed his affection, saying, "My grandmother is someone who would always be on my side, even if no one else is." Kim Yong Bin confessed, "My grandmother passed away without seeing me win first place," and "Watching her sick for six months was the hardest time of my life."
