The two-part MBC Family Month special documentary "Paha, This is Choi Bul-am" will air on May 5th and 12th at 9 PM. This documentary is produced in the format of reflecting on actor Choi Bul-am's life and acting career through DJ hosting and music.
The released second teaser video contains Choi Bul-am's heartbreaking story and his path of sharing, which the public did not know. Choi Bul-am revealed, "I experienced an early separation from my father during childhood, so I do not have many experiences or memories of my father," sharing the story of growing up with the loss of his father's absence.
The documentary also highlights the good deeds Choi Bul-am has carried out over a long time. He has participated in various special programs such as the special live broadcast for finding missing children "Mom, Dad, I'm Here" and the donation project for children "New Life for Children." The reason why he has actively engaged in children's stories is also addressed in this special.
The official poster features analog props such as a turntable and cassette player, evoking nostalgia for past radio. Park Sang-won, who appeared as Choi Bul-am's eldest son in the drama "You and I," participates as the presenter, drawing attention to their special relationship. In addition, several actors including Baek Il-seob, Park Won-sook, Lee Gye-in, Lee Kyung-jin, Lee Hong-ryul, Im Ho, and Yoo Jin appear to tell Choi Bul-am's story.
The direction is by PD Yang Jeong-heon, who produced last year's MBC Liberation Day 80th Anniversary special project "Model Prison." "Model Prison" won the "Experimental Spirit Award" at the 38th Korea PD Awards.
