Group SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan showed off a delightful story of overcoming his picky eating habits while marveling at the dishes of Chef Kwon Sung-joon (Napoli Matfia), the winner of 'Culinary Class Wars'.

Recently, SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan appeared as a guest on the web variety show 'Pyeonsikdang (Picky Eater Restaurant)' on the YouTube channel 'Pixid' and met with Chef Kwon Sung-joon.

On this day, Seungkwan confessed his firm picky eating preferences, saying he usually cannot eat eggplants because he dislikes their mushy texture. In response, Chef Kwon prepared a customized course meal to captivate Seungkwan's taste buds.

Prior to the full-fledged main dish, a special tiramisu topped with tangerines and made with milk instead of coffee, a.k.a. 'Booramisu (Boo + Tiramisu)', was served as an appetizer for Seungkwan, who is from Jeju Island. After tasting it, Seungkwan did not hold back his praise, saying, "He caught exactly what suits my taste. It's really delicious."

Next, the main dish, 'Eggplant Tomato Pasta', appeared. To eliminate the mushy texture of the eggplant that Seungkwan dislikes, Chef Kwon completed the pasta using a Sicilian recipe of drawing out the moisture with salt and frying it at a high temperature.

Seungkwan, who cautiously tasted the food, could not hide his surprise, saying, "I can't feel the chewiness of the eggplant, and it doesn't feel like eggplant." He also showed an unexpected side of himself deliciously enjoying the eggplant pasta he usually hated, saying, "The chewy noodles and the soft eggplant blend together, and it's really delicious."

When Seungkwan said, "I should brag to the members that I learned a recipe from Napoli Matfia," Chef Kwon responded warmly by saying, "I will rent out the entire restaurant for you, so bring the SEVENTEEN members for a company dinner," adding warmth to the atmosphere.
