CIX is ending team activities after 7 years since their debut. On the 29th, their agency C9 Entertainment announced through the official fan cafe that CIX will conclude their activities after approximately 7 years since their debut on July 21, 2019.

The members and the agency discussed for several months whether to continue team activities, but they all agreed that it is inevitable to stop team operations at this time. C9 Entertainment stated, "We have sincerely put our best effort into all work including music, choreography, videos, performances, and broadcasts under the brand CIX, so both the members and the agency deeply regret this decision."

The contract status of each member was also disclosed. BX and Seunghun's exclusive contracts will end on the 30th, and Hyunsuk's contract will expire on May 31 as he is currently filming a drama. After the decision to disband the team, Yonghee voluntarily applied for military enlistment and will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army on May 11 to fulfill his military service. Yonghee's exclusive contract will also end upon enlistment. There will be no separate official event on the day of enlistment, but an opportunity will be arranged for him to greet fans before enlistment.

CIX debuted in 2019 as a five-member group consisting of BX, Seunghun, Bae Jinyoung, Yonghee, and Hyunsuk. Bae Jinyoung left the team after his exclusive contract ended in August 2024, and since then, CIX reorganized as a four-member group and released their 7th and 8th mini albums. Their most recent album is the 8th mini album "GO Chapter 1 : GO Together," released last September. CIX built a global fandom by releasing one full-length album each in Korea and Japan.

C9 Entertainment said, "We ask for warm encouragement for the members who will do their best in their own lives in new environments going forward," and added, "We intend to continue practical efforts such as communicating with the members so that the brand CIX can return to you with CIX's unique music. We sincerely thank you for the great support and love you have given to CIX so far."
