
MBN's trot survival program 'Unknown Legend - The Hierarchy War Among Trot Men' recorded its highest viewership ratings with the broadcast of the first round of the finals. According to Nielsen Korea, episode 11, aired on the 6th, achieved an 8.5% nationwide paid household rating, with a peak rating of 9.085%. It also ranked first among Wednesday entertainment programs for 11 consecutive weeks, first in the same time slot across all channels, and first overall among comprehensive programming channels.
The finals will be held over two rounds across two weeks, with the final winner determined by combining the scores of both rounds out of a total of 5,000 points. The first round was the 'Hit Song Mission,' featuring new songs prepared exclusively for the top 10. Participants listened to guide tracks without knowing the composers' names, chose songs, and performed their stages. The first round evaluation was conducted out of 1,000 points, combining the scores from 15 top professional judges (40 points each) and 200 national professional judges (2 points each).
In the first round of the finals, Seongri performed "Tonight" composed by Lee Ban-seok, earning 521 points from the top professional judges and 338 points from the national professional judges, totaling 859 points to take first place. Irune ranked second with 800 points (512 from top professionals, 288 from national professionals) for "Young and Lucky" composed by Kim Do-il. Hwang Yoon-sung sang "Nanri Blues" composed by Gong Chan-soo, scoring 799 points for third place. Jang Han-byul placed fourth with 778 points, and Haru ranked fifth with 777 points for "Key to Life," composed by Son Tae-jin and written by Lin. Jung Yeon-ho scored 772 points, Lee Chang-min 767 points, Park Min-soo 760 points, Kim Tae-woong 753 points, and Lee Dae-hwan 749 points, ranking sixth through tenth respectively.
Notably, Lee Chang-min was in the lower ranks among the top professional judges but rose significantly to seventh place due to support from the national professional judges. Haru improved two ranks to fifth place after harsh directing and over seven hours of recording. The youngest contestant, Kim Tae-woong, and Lee Dae-hwan, who delivered an emotional stage, remained in ninth and tenth places respectively.
The second round of the finals will be broadcast live on the 13th, with the new songs officially released at noon on the 7th. The final winner will be decided by combining the scores from the second round of the finals, the performance of the songs on music charts, and live text voting results. The score difference between first and tenth place in the finals is 110 points, drawing attention to the outcome of the last round.
