The band
GIFT will reinterpret Nell's "Time Walking on Memory."
The
second remake of Cyworld BGM 2021, in which Gift participated as a singer,
"Time Walking on Memory," will be released on the online music site
before 6 p.m. on the 7th. At the same time, music clips will be exclusively
released on Cyworld_Official.
"Time
Walking on Memory" (2008) is the title track of the fourth full-length
album of Icon Nell, the representative of the Korean modern rock band,
featuring its unique lyrical sensibility and plain vocals. In particular, it is
one of Nell's representative songs that was greatly loved by Cyworld
mini-homepage users at the time of its release.
Gift's new
remake of the 2021 version of "Time Walking on Memory" was inspired
by Irish music based on acoustic guitars so that the beautiful lyrics and
melodies of the original song could stand out. The exotic mood and unique
vocals, which are different from the original song, doubled their unique charm.
Gift,
who remade "Time Walking on Memory" through the "Cyworld BGM
2021" project, said, "I am remaking Nell's song, which I respect
honorably." The song was arranged and recorded by those who led the band
to the path of the song was carefully arranged. "I've been able to enjoy
working on the song because I've been listening to it often until now, and I
hope Nell and listeners will like it."
The gift
is a band consisting of three members, Lee Ju-hyuk (vocalist), Kim Hyung-woo
(base), and Jung Hwi-gyeom (drum), and has been recognized for their skills
since their formation in 2017. In particular, he won the runner-up after
receiving rave reviews from judges at Mnet's "Focus," which ended in
January, drawing attention as a rising star band in 2021.
Meanwhile,
"Cyworld BGM 2021" is a project where the MZ generation's favorite
singers come forward and sing the top 100 songs from Cyworld's BGM data
analysis, which caused the "mini-homepage syndrome" in the 2000s.
Soyou, Gift, Gaho, Daybreak, Ailee, George, Punch, and Hwang Chi-yeol have been
unveiled as the first lineup, raising expectations for high-quality music that
will be unveiled in the future.
