The album BTS, THE BEST, released in Japan, was awarded a ‘Million’ Certification by the Japan Record Association. According to the Japan Record Association announcement on July 9th, the 'BTS, THE BEST' album released on June 16th surpassed the cumulative shipment of 1 million copies thus, obtaining the 'Million' Certification. This year, BTS is the only member of the Record Association of Japan to be certified million.

This is the first time that BTS has received the Japan Record Association's ‘Million’ certification for an album. In 2019, BTS’s Japanese 10th single Lights/Boy with Luv’ has shipped over 1 million copies and acquired the 'million' certification, making the BTS the first foreign male artist to receive 'million' certification for a single.
