BLACKPINK's
Lisa broke another new record with a choreography video.
According
to YG Entertainment on March 16th, Lisa's Exclusive Performance Video surpassed
500 million views on YouTube at 11:28 pm the previous day. It has been 173 days
since it was released on September 24th last year. It is the shortest
choreography video of a K-pop artist who has reached the same number of views.
The
previous shortest record was BLACKPINK's "How You Like That"
choreography video (183 days), which exceeded 1 billion views. Lisa broke the
shortest record for BLACKPINK's choreography video by reaching 500 million
views within 10 days earlier.
The
number of views is not easy to achieve as a group, but it is a unique
achievement with a solo dance video. It topped iTunes' top song charts in 38
countries, and the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify ranked
fifth on the global chart. She then topped the UK Official Single Top 100, the
US Billboard Hot 100, and the Pop Airplay chart for eight, two, and three
consecutive weeks, respectively, winning the title of "K-Pop Women's First
Solo."
