Byeong-geun] Girl group aespa has achieved a great career with their second
mini-album 'Girls', which peaked at #3 on the US Billboard 200.
On the 17th (local time), Billboard
released the top 10 Billboard 200 albums (as of July 23), through an article on
the homepage that said, "For the first time, Aespa took No. three on the
Billboard 200 until their second, mini-album 'Girls'. The album was in the top
10."
Prior to that, Aspa's first
mini-album 'Savage' released last October peaked at number 20 on the Billboard
200, the highest charting chart in the history of a K-pop girl group's first
album. With this album, they ranked third and highest among K-pop girl groups
this year. This is the part where we can claim Aespa's popularity and powerful
influence once again.
In particular, this week's Billboard
200 Top 10 features world-class musicians like Harry Styles, Drake, The Weekend
and Chris Brown, and the lineup is stronger than ever. Aespa's 3rd place is a
respectable achievement.
Aespa's second mini-album 'Girls'
has grossed 1.61 million pre-orders and set the record for the highest
pre-order by a K-pop girl group, and according to the Circle Chart, album sales
in The first week was 1,426,487 copies, which ranks first among all girl groups
during the original Chodong era. At the same time, they also became the first
K-pop girl group to win the original Chodong Million Seller title.
Aespa will appear on music shows
like KBS2 'Music Bank' on the 22nd and SBS 'Inkigayo' on the 24th.
