On the 28th, management agency Story J Company announced, "Kim Dasom has been cast in the new drama 'Is it a coincidence' (screenplay by Park Gro-ro, director Song Hyun-wook) .” Kim Da-som is expected to add life to the play by showing her best friend's 'chemistry' to Kim So-hyun, who previously confirmed her appearance.
The work is based on the webtoon of the same name, telling the story of young people who find true love and dreams after meeting their first love 10 years ago.
Among them, Kim Da-som plays Kim Hye-ji, an English teacher at Ohbok High School and a close friend of Lee Hong-joo (Kim So-hyun). Although he was quiet and shy in his teens, he took off his school uniform and found his true self. In addition, he brings a perfect breath of fresh air to Lee Hong-joo and his first love, Kim Hu-yeong (played by Chae Jong-hyeop), who reunited after 10 years.
Dasom Kim has shown her presence by digesting different characters through steady work activities. She's been expanding her acting range, from a bright and easygoing look to a villain, and she recently took on a new challenge with the Naver sound drama 'Reverse'.
Before that, the new MBC Fri-Saturday drama 'Kokdu's Season', followed by 'Is it a Coincidence?', raised expectations about the kind of activities Dasom Kim will carry out.
Dasom Kim, Sohyun Kim, Jonghyeop Chae, and Jion Yoon confirmed to appear in 'Is it a Coincidence?' It is scheduled to air next year.
