Singer and actor IU and member Jungkook (BTS) have been named the top 200 singers by the popular American music magazine Rolling Stone.
IU and Jungkook ranked 135th and 191st respectively on Rolling Stone's "200 Greatest Singers of All Time" list on The 1st. This list was selected by Rolling Stone as a singer active in popular music by collecting the opinions of employees and journalists.
Rolling Stone introduced IU: "She has become one of the most highly regarded singers in Korean music circles since her hit Good Day in 2010." "This is the first Korean female singer to perform at the Olympic Stadium in Jamsil, Seoul and sell tickets in just 5 minutes."
Jung Kook was also introduced: "He is BTS's multi-talented youngest brother and also a strong performer who composes many songs, is a humble singer who always gives his best despite success at a very early age."
Aretha Franklin, the first American female pop singer to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and American pop queen Whitney Houston, and Sam Cook, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songs Hall of Fame.
