However, it lost to 'All Quiet on the Western Front' by Edward Berger.
Director Park Chan-wook was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to his new movie's filming schedule. 'Decision to Leave' had previously been nominated for the 80th Golden Globe Awards and the 28th Critics' Choice Awards but was unsuccessful in both. The Golden Globe Award went to 'Argentina, 1985' while 'RRR' won at Critics' Choice.
