RM (real name Kim Nam Joon) - leader of BTS - was illegally seen personal information by employees of Korea Rail.

On the 2nd day, RM shared an article on his personal SNS that Korail staff illegally viewed his personal information and uploaded a story with the emoji "^^;;".

SBS News reported, A - an employee of KORAIL illegally accessed the personal information of BTS RM. A has illegally viewed personal information such as address, phone number entered by BTS leader when registering as a KORAIL member along with train ticket information.

According to the audit results, A is a person in charge of information technology development and has read RM's personal information including address and mobile phone for three years from 2019. A explained: "As a fan, I found out out of personal curiosity."

KORAIL's inspection committee recommended to suspend work with A for violating regulations on protecting customers' personal information. A Korail official also shared: "There were no cases of personal information being leaked. We are preparing measures to prevent recurrence by improving and testing the system, such as entering the reason when checking personal information. The relevant staff is expected to take the fine strictly through the company's disciplinary procedures."

On the other hand, RM, who is known as a typical art lover among artists, is known to often take public transport alone to visit local art museums. However, due to this controversy, RM fans have called on Korail and management companies to take action to protect the artist more strictly.
