[Thje Facts | [Reporter Jung Byeong-geun] Actor Shin Gu, 88 years old this year, confessed that he suffered from heart failure.
Shingu appeared on tvN entertainment program 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter referred to as 'You Quiz'), aired on the 5th, and when asked about his health, Shingu said, "I am very I love working out. I'm very confident and drink a lot. But last year, I was diagnosed with heart failure. Here it is. I went to the emergency room and got checked, and they said something was wrong. I've put on a pacemaker to control my heart rate here."
Then he said, "If the heart is beating slowly, the artificial pacemaker will stimulate it to work properly. It is said that (the life of a pacemaker) lasts about 8 to 10 years. By then, I won't be there anymore. That's enough."
He also talked about his worries about his next project. He said, "I'm not sure if I can play this role at this age. The dominant thought was 'I can do it', but I thought 'how would you handle it?' So I went back and forth a few times a day. "That's all I know, and that's what I have to do, but unfortunately I can't do it."
He said: "There was a time when I was young. All my life I lived without thinking that this moment was so important. But now that I am at the end, I know. I'm grateful that I can breathe, and I'm grateful that I can walk without anyone's help, and thanks for everything." said and smiled.
