[The Fact|Reporter Park Ji-yoon] Actor Jung Woo-sung expressed his feelings about directing his first movie.
On the morning of the 24th, a press conference on the production of the movie "The Guardian" (directed by Jung Woo-sung) was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Jung Woo-sung and actors Kim Nam-gil, Park Sung-woong, Kim Jun-han and Park Yuna participated in the Q&A session.
'Guardian' is a work depicting the story between Soo-hyeok (Jung Woo-sung), who wants to live a normal life after knowing the existence of his daughter, who has been released from prison after 10 years, and those who are targeting him.
On top of that, 'Guardian' is Jung Woo-sung's first directorial film and has received a lot of attention from the production. Jung Woo-sung takes on the role of Soo-hyeok, a man who dreams of living a normal life and has made a name for himself as a director and actor.
On this day, Jung Woo-sung talked about his impressions of directing his first feature film, "I don't feel that way." He said, "I thought, 'I can do that well,' but when I got to the production briefing, I was so nervous, vaguely scared, and my emotions intertwined."
Jung Woo-sung explained about 'The Protector' as "a movie that cannot be answered simply" and revealed why he appeared and directed. He recalls, “At first I was asked to appear, and then I was in charge of directing.”
He added, "It's a film and story structure that I've seen anywhere," adding, "I challenged the idea that this might be an opportunity to bring director Jung Woo-sung's colors into a familiar story."
'The Guardian' will be released on August 15th.
