Regarding the reason why Nam Goong Min chose a historical drama after 10 years as an actor and appeared in the new Fri-Sat drama 'My Dearest' (MBC) on July 24 (Script Hwang Jin Yeong, directors Kim Sung Yong, Chun Soo Jin), he said, "I always choose works that give me a good feeling the first time I read the script." "With 'My Dearest', I only knew director Kim Sung Yong as the director, so I read the script and found it very interesting."
He then said, "Although there are strange words and sentences that are not used much in everyday life because it's a historical drama, I skimmed it in one go. I think director Kim Sung Yong has naturally drawn in his mind how to direct. And we both grasped each other because we both thought that filming could be more interesting than anything."
The production team and cast of the drama 'My Dearest' started filming the first scene in the winter of 2022 and it has been 3 seasons so far. Because the filming time is not short, Nam Goong Min is confident that the work will show viewers a work of high perfection.
Regarding the remarkable point, he shared, "We tried to show the details of the costumes and make-up because we filmed the movie with a lot of interest in studying ancient documents." Next, he explained, "Because there is a story about the war, I tried my best with many people to vividly and realistically show the action scenes that appear in the middle of the movie."
