Stray Kids was selected by TIME, an American current affairs weekly magazine,
as one of the 'Next Generation Leaders'.
Time announced the next generation leaders
for 2023 on its official website on the 5th (local time), and Stray Kids was
named. Since 2014, TIME has published a list of 'Next Generation Leaders' by
selecting young pioneers and trendsetters. Stray Kids is the second K-pop boy
group selected in this category, after BTS.
Time introduced Stray Kids as "a group
that achieved global success by embracing new sounds" and added:
"Stray Kids, who have always pursued their unique musical direction, have
released the mini first album 'ODDINARY (Ordinary)' in the US. And the group
received 1st place on the Billboard 200 in March 2022 thanks to the great
support from the global fan community'
Member Changbin said via Time: "By
continuously pioneering new musical themes, our goal is for our music to be
known as a genre called Stray Kids."
Stray Kids has performed excellently on
stages around the world with their own music, asserting themselves as the
'global trend' of the group. Three consecutive works, 'ODDINARY' in March 2022,
'MAXIDENT' in October and '★★★★★ (5-STAR)' in June 2023, all topped the
Billboard 200 chart.
Recently, the group appeared on stage as
headliners at the famous music festival 'Lollapalooza Paris' and delighted
about 60,000 local spectators. Bang Chan, Changbin and Han from the group's
3RACHA production team performed at the 'Global Citizen Festival 2023' held in
New York Central Park, he appeared and exuded a special aura.
Last September, the group first appeared at
the '2023 MTV Video Music Awards' held at the Prudential Center in New York,
USA and won the 'Best K-Pop' category with the title song titled 'S-Class' in
the group's 3rd full album.
Stray Kids is successfully carrying out
'5-STAR Dome Tour 2023 (Five Star Dome Tour 2023)', a large-scale dome tour 10
times in 5 cities in Korea and Japan as their 'first tour n'4th generation male
K-pop group', and sold out tickets on the 11th. They will return with the new
mini-album '樂-STAR' on the 10th at 2 pm (00:00:00
