[The FactㅣReporter Kang Il-hong] ‘Gag Concert’ returns after three and a half years.
KBS announced on the 11th that 'Gag Concert' (script Kim Sang-mi, director Lee Jae-hyeon, hereinafter referred to as 'Gag Concert') will meet the audience every Sunday at 10:25 starting from November 12.
'Gag Concert' is a public comedy show on KBS 2TV that aired from September 4, 1999 to June 26, 2020, and is the longest-running comedy show in Korean history.
In the 21 years since it first aired, the show trnh2 has been a gateway for new comedians and has produced many stars and trending sayings. However, the show had to be discontinued due to changing comedy trends and various entertainment talk shows appearing.
In May 2020, KBS announced an indefinite hiatus (end): "We are taking a break for a new transition due to many reasons such as the changing broadcast environment, comedy trends changes and limitations of open comedy shows".

On June 26, 2020, with the 1050th episode, it ended its 20-year and 9-month history, leaving behind regret when all the opening comedies on terrestrial television disappeared.
Starting November 2021, Gaeseungja, essentially a sequel to this show, aired and aired for four months in survival format. The working title was 'Road to Gag Concert' and was decided through a contest. 'Gag Concert 2' (tentative title) next month has been confirmed and will be revived three years after its conclusion.
Previously, the new comedians who will lead 'Gag Concert 2' presented a preview of 'Gag Concert' at the closing ceremony of the '11th Busan International Comedy Festival' on September 3.
CP Kim Sang-mi, who is in charge of the program, said, "The legendary program 'Gag Concert', responsible for the nation's Sunday night, will return after three and a half years. We look forward to your interest. I love and care about the show because this is an ambitious new comedy show prepared by KBS."
