Jennie posted on her Instagram on the 24th, "For my solo activities starting in 2024, I plan to establish a company called OA and try to stand on my own." After that, he revealed the company's official social network (SNS) account with the content, "Please give a lot of love to the new challenge of me and Blackpink." OA, created by Jenny, is the abbreviation for ‘ODD ATELIER’, which means ‘strange studio’.
OA, launched last month, introduces itself as a brand founded by Jenny on its website. The homepage further states that it is 'a space that aims to create something new to attract attention in a different and unexpected way'.
Blackpink members, including Jennie, recently signed an exclusive 'group activities' contract with YG Entertainment. Accordingly, Blackpink will not only release a new album with YG's support but also organize another large-scale world tour. However, it is expected that individual operations will be conducted through their own labels.
Previously, Jennie released her first solo song "Solo" in November 2018. Last October, the special single "You and Me" was released.
