At 9:30 a.m. on the 9th, according to the Korean Film Council's, 'Kung Fu Panda 4' (directed by Mike Mitchell) which will be aired on the 10th, has topped the total number of reservation tickets in advance for 8 consecutive days. The number of pre-sales reached 170,051 tickets.
As a result, 'Kung Fu Panda 4' surpassed pre-orders (138,617 tickets) the day before the release date of 'Super Mario Bros.' opened in theaters last April and attracted a cumulative audience of 2.39 million. Additionally, it surpassed pre-orders (128,391 tickets) the day before the release of 'Wonka', the highest-grossing foreign film released in 2024, raising expectations for box office success.
'Kung Fu Panda 4', which was released overseas for the first time, topped the box office in 60 countries around the world and has so far grossed $410 million worldwide.
Since the film received an overall positive response at the preview screening held before its domestic release and topped the film's booking rate, it is expected that the film will easily win the box office lead from 'Exhuma' (directed by Jang Jae-hyun), which was released in February and reached the 10 million views.
Accordingly, 'Kung Fu Panda 4' plans to bring more joy to the audience through a costume stage show on the weekend.
‘Kung Fu Panda’ recorded 4,654,266 viewers for Season 1, 5,064,796 for Season 2, and 3,984,814 for Season 3.
