[THE FACT | Reporter Moon Eun-hye] K-pop performance queen ITZY proved themselves to be a representative 4th generation girl group by winning the 'World Best Performer' award at the '2024 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA)'.

ITZY won the 'World Best Performer' award at the '2024 The Fact Music Awards' hosted by <The Fact> and organized by FAN N STAR and FEELINGVIVE on the 8th. The 2024 TMA was held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka, Japan on the afternoon of the same day.

ITZY, who went up on stage to receive the award, said, "We are happy and honored to receive the performance award that we always prepare with care," and "We were able to prepare diligently thanks to everyone who always loves and expects us." They continued, "It takes a lot of effort to prepare for one stage, so I'm grateful to the staff and JYP family who always prepare diligently."

ITZY also added, "We are preparing for a comeback after finishing our second world tour this year," and "We will prepare well with this award and everyone's energy today. Please look forward to it."

ITZY, a five-member girl group under JYP Entertainment, is solidifying its position as a 'K-pop trending girl group' by setting numerous records. From their debut song 'Dalla Dalla' to 'ICY', 'WANNABE', 'Not Shy', 'Mafia In the Morning', 'LOCO', 'SNEAKERS', and 'Cheshire', all of their music videos have reached the hundreds of millions of views.

Since February, they have been on a world tour of 32 concerts in 28 regions around the world. It is expanding its influence by touring global stages including Seoul, Asia, South America, North America, and Europe.

The '2024 The Fact Music Awards' opened its grand ceremony at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka, Japan on the 7th, with broadcasters Jeon Hyun-moo and Seohyun as co-hosts under the slogan 'NEW GEN FOR FANSTIVAL'. It is showcasing the best festival created by artists leading K-POP and MZ fandom.

 

This year's awards ceremony will be attended by WOOAH, Kim Jaejoong, ITZY, JO1, aespa, NiziU, Kep1er, NewJeans, &TEAM, xikers, KISS OF LIFE, n.SSign, EVNNE, YOUNG POSSE, NCT WISH, UNIS, and NEXZ, who will be decorating the spectacular stage.
