group TWS (TWS, Shin Yu, Do Hoon, Young Jae, Han Jin, Ji Hoon, Kyung Min), who
continued the 'First Encounter Syndrome' with refreshing music and visuals, was
selected as 'Artist of the Year' at the '2024 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA). TWS won
the 'Artist of the Year' award at the 2024 TMA hosted by <THE FACT> and
organized by FAN N STAR and FEELINGVIVE on the 7th. The 2024 THE FACT Music
Awards was held for the first time ever at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka, Japan,
to commemorate the 10th anniversary of THE FACT's first ceremony. TWS, who
went on stage, said, "I want to thank the members who trusted each other
and ran together through difficult times," and "I'm also so grateful
to the parents of the six members." He continued, "I'm also really
grateful to our 42 (Sai) members." Sai is TWS' official fan club. TWS also
won the Next Leader Award, which is a rookie award, on this day, making them
two-time winners. Artist
of the Year is awarded to a singer (or team) who has shown remarkable
performance in album sales (based on Circle Chart) and music charts among all
artists who released albums or music from September of last year to August of
this year. The winners were selected through objective data such as music chart
performance and album sales, and a fair and strict judging process by the

Reporter Nam Yoon-ho TWS is a
boy group released by Pledis after 9 years and debuted on January 22. They
received much love for their debut album's title song 'First Meeting Doesn't Go
as Planned', and the song ranked in the top 3 for 3 consecutive months on the
Circle Chart Digital Chart at 3rd (February), 2nd (March), and 3rd (April).
Their 2nd mini album 'SUMMER BEAT!' released in June also received much love,
surpassing 500,000 pre-orders. The 2024
TMA, under the slogan of 'NEW GEN FOR FANSTIVAL', will present the best
festival created by artists leading K-POP and MZ fandom. As it has established
itself as an authoritative awards ceremony representing Korea every year and
the best music festival where fans from all over the world come together, it
plans to present fair awards and well-made performances befitting its
