[The Fact | Reporter Kim Myung Joo] The group ENHYPEN has decided to take strong action to prevent harassment and illegal stalking.
The management company BELIFT LAB announced on the 5th on the fan communication platform Weverse: “The situation of threats to the safety and invasion of the artist’s privacy has become serious. We are actively responding, including legal measures, to protect the artist.”
The company also revealed, "Recently, some people have hired delivery staff or drivers to sneak into the artists' residences, take photos of them, and sell them. This is a serious act of illegal surveillance. We have collected evidence such as CCTV and initiated criminal proceedings."
In addition, BELIFT LAB also said that the invasion of artists' privacy is becoming more common: "Illegal fans buy flight information to travel with the artists or continuously take unauthorized photos in private spaces. We want to emphasize that all of these acts seriously harm the artists and are acts of stalking against their will."
Not only that, the company also warned those who intentionally defame the reputation of ENHYPEN (including Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-Ki) by spreading false rumors in an organized manner.
"We have discovered a number of individuals operating in an organized manner in online chatrooms to spread rumors or trade information related to the artists. We are actively collecting evidence and will take strong legal action against all these illegal acts."
Finally, the company stated, "We have reported many individuals for illegal stalking and the police are currently investigating."
ENHYPEN has been holding their world tour "WALK THE LINE" since October last year to meet with global fans. After concluding the tour in three major cities in Japan and a stadium performance in Bulacan, Philippines, the group is scheduled to perform in Bangkok, Thailand in June, as well as two cities in Japan in July and August.
