Ready to "dominate" the box office during the golden holiday in June

[The Fact | Reporter Park Ji-yoon] The movie 'War of Soju' starring actors Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Je-hoon will come to audiences earlier than expected.
On May 9, the distributor Showbox said, “The movie ‘War of Soju’ will officially premiere on the 30th of this month.” The film was originally scheduled to be released on June 3, but the release date was adjusted earlier, coinciding with the start of the Golden Week holiday, in order to attract more viewers.
‘War of Soju’ is set in 1997, during the Asian Financial Crisis (IMF), and revolves around the confrontation between Jong-rok (played by Yoo Hae-jin), the CFO of a soju company who considers his career and soju as his life, and In-beom (played by Lee Je-hoon), an excellent employee of a global investment company who only cares about performance. They bet the fate of Korea’s national soju in a ruthless battle.
Yoo Hae-jin plays Pyo Jong-rok, the CFO of Gukbo Group, who is determined to protect the Gukbo Soju brand. Lee Je-hoon plays Choi In-beom, a talented employee at Solqueen, a global investment company that only focuses on profits.
In addition, Son Hyun-joo plays Seok Jin-woo, the second-generation chairman who inherited Gukbo Group, who fell into financial crisis due to the impact of the IMF crisis and excessive business expansion. Choi Young-jun plays Goo Young-mo, a lawyer in charge of handling the crisis for Gukbo Group, adding to the drama.
With a unique setting about the collapse of Korea's national soju in 1997 and a talented cast, 'War of Soju' will officially premiere on May 30.
