The ’2025 The Fact Music Awards (TMA)’ has started online voting for the Fan and Star category ahead of the festival for K-pop fans. The organizing committee announced on the 23rd that the first round of voting for the ’Fan and Star Choice Award’ in the group and solo categories, as well as the final voting for the newly established ’Global Hot Star Award,’ began on the 21st.

The ’Fan and Star Choice Award’ recognizes the K-pop artist groups and soloists most loved by fans both domestically and internationally over the past year. The first round of voting will run until August 4, and the top 20 teams will advance to the second round. This award is aimed at artists who have released music within a year as of July 2025. Nominees include groups like NEX7, RISE, LE SSERAFIM, BOYNEXTDOOR, SEVENTEEN, SUPER JUNIOR, STRAY KIDS, IVE, aespa, NMIXX, NCT U, NCT DREAM, ENHYPEN, All Day Project, ZEROBASEONE, TO1, TWICE, and HAZE TO HAZE, among others. Solo nominees include KANG DANIEL, KWON EUNBI, KIM JAEJOONG, BTS members V, J-HOPE, JIN, IU, NCT DOYOUNG, NCT MARK, ONF’s ONYU, YOUNHA, LEE CHAN WON, LIM YOUNG WOONG, JEON SOMI, G-DRAGON, and TAEYEON.

The ’Global Hot Star Award’ is a newly established category this year. This award will be given to the 4th and 5th generation K-pop artists who received the most love from fans globally in 2025. The winner will be determined by votes from fans in Korea, Japan, English-speaking countries, China, Vietnam, and more. The nominees for the ’Global Hot Star Award,’ chosen through preliminary voting from September last year to the 21st of this month, include NEX7, BOYNEXTDOOR, STRAY KIDS, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, TEMPEST, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and PLAYB. They will participate in final voting until August 11.

Voting will be conducted through the idol specialized service Fan and Star, operated by the comprehensive media outlet The Fact. The voting methods include ’General Star,’ ’Rainbow Star,’ and ’Video Voting,’ which involves watching video advertisements. The first place in the ’Fan and Star Choice Award’ first round will receive an advertisement exposure privilege at Hongdae AM Board, second place will have it at Dongdaemun Maxstyle, and third place at Sinchon Megabox. The winner of the final voting for the ’Global Hot Star Award’ will receive the trophy, while the second and third places will receive exposure privileges at Tokyo Harajuku Change Vision and City Tour Bus advertisements, respectively.

A ticket event for the ’2025 The Fact Music Awards’ is also underway, which is available only to Fan and Star members. By completing the ″Today’s Star″ mission in Fan and Star by August 10, participants can earn ticket application rights, with daily applications allowed once.
