Eunhyuk of Super Junior donated 100 million won to the Dongbang Social Welfare Association in honor of his father’s birthday. This donation marks the second time, following last year, and will be used for a campaign focused on preventing child abuse. Eunhyuk expressed, ″I am truly happy to participate in the child abuse prevention running campaign in honor of my father’s birthday.″

The donation will be used for the ″Hope Run″ child abuse prevention running campaign held ahead of ″Child Abuse Prevention Day″ on November 19th. This campaign aims to improve social awareness of child abuse and highlight the importance of advancing children’s rights. Eunhyuk has been appointed as the official messenger for this campaign, tasked with spreading its core message and encouraging participation.

Eunhyuk stated, ″I come across articles about child abuse almost every day. I want to contribute a small effort to ensure that children, our society’s future, can grow up safely and healthily,″ promising continuous attention and support. Lee Eun-joo, Deputy Director of the Dongbang Social Welfare Association, emphasized the significance of the donation, expressing sincere gratitude to Eunhyuk for practicing warm sharing in memory of his father this year as well.

Established in 1972, the Dongbang Social Welfare Association is a specialized social welfare institution that provides comprehensive welfare services to marginalized neighbors, including children, adolescents, single-parent families, the disabled, and the elderly. The organization has been active for the past 53 years based on its founding philosophy of ″realizing the value of life.″
