Stray Kids will make a comeback with their fourth full-length album, ″Karma.″ They return after a successful stadium-scale world tour around the world. Stray Kids will release their fourth full-length album, ″Karma,″ on the 22nd, marking their first comeback of the year. This marks their first album-based comeback in approximately eight months since ″Skid’s Hop Hip Tape″ in December of last year, and their first full-length album-based comeback in two years and two months since ″Five Star″ in June 2023.
In the trailer unveiled to officially announce their comeback, Stray Kids transports audiences to the year 2081. ″2081 Karma Sports″ is about to open, and the champions from 2074 to 2080—Hyunjin, I.N, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, Han, Changbin, and Felix—express their desire for victory. The year 2081 is the reverse of Stray Kids’ debut year, 2018, and the period from 2074 to 2080 corresponds to the seven years Stray Kids have spent since their debut. They project the present into the future.
This album contains a total of ten tracks: the title track ″Ceremony,″ as well as ″Bbicheori,″ ″Creed,″ ″Eungmang (Mess),″ ″In My Head,″ ″Banjeon (Half Time),″ ″Phoenix,″ ″Ghost,″ ″0801,″ ″Ceremony (Festival Version)″ and ″Ceremony (English Version). The team’s producing team, 3Racha (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), is credited on all tracks, including the title track. They have captured their unique musical style.
Stray Kids achieved a historic feat by topping Billboard’s main album chart, Billboard 200, with six consecutive albums, starting with their 2022 mini-album ″Ordinary,″ followed by ″Maxident,″ ″Five Star,″ ″Rockstar,″ ″Eight,″ and ″Hap.″ While album chart rankings are influenced by the sales of other artists returning during the same period, Stray Kids ranked second, behind Taylor Swift, in the top 10 album and CD sales in the US for the first half of the year. They demonstrated the unparalleled power of album sales among K-pop and Asian artists.
Stray Kids achieved the greatest, most successful, and most successful K-pop performances during their ″Dominate″ world tour, which featured 54 shows in 34 regions worldwide. They were the first K-pop artists to perform at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo and the first K-pop artist to perform at six of the ten stadiums in North America. During their European tour, they became the first Asian artists to perform at stadiums in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Madrid. Their overwhelming performances proved the present and future of K-pop.
All eyes are on Stray Kids’ fourth full-length album, ″Karma,″ to see how it will perform in the domestic and international music markets. Angelo Goppe, CEO of Live Nation France, commented, ″Stray Kids’ unique and iconic performances are based on their own writing and composing of their own music.″
