
Actor Kim Kap-soo recalled a chance encounter with BTS member Jin and shared a heartwarming story. Kim Kap-soo appeared on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung' and expressed his fandom for BTS. He began by saying, "I am also an ARMY. Isn't it fun?" and started sharing stories related to BTS.
Kim Kap-soo mentioned that he joined the fan club, saying, "I can't follow them overseas. Their music is excellent, and all the members are wonderful." Recalling his meeting with Jin, he explained, "One day, I was having lunch at a local restaurant when a young man approached me and greeted me. That was BTS Jin." At the time, Kim Kap-soo said he did not know much about BTS. He laughed and said, "If he had said BTS, I would have known."
He added that he was dining with Jin's mother. He said, "I told Jin's mother, 'You must be proud to have such a wonderful son,' and I also told Jin to keep working hard." When Shin Dong-yup said, "It could have been awkward, but it's nice that he greeted you first," Kim Kap-soo praised, "The kids are well-educated and polite. That's why I can't help but like them."
Kim Kap-soo revealed that he joined BTS's fan club ARMY after meeting Jin. He said, "Whether he knew it or not, I felt like I had to do something. So I officially joined the fan club ARMY. I'm a paid member." When Shin Dong-yup said, "The BTS members will be touched," Kim Kap-soo joked, "The whole world is ARMY, so what."
That day, Kim Kap-soo also mentioned an episode from the filming of the drama 'Taejo Wang Geon.' He said, "I was supposed to die around episode 70 or 80, but our team was so popular that they couldn't kill me off. So I told the director, 'Shouldn't I die? I was supposed to die in episode 70, but I appeared 30 episodes more until episode 100. The money is good, but please kill me off for the sake of conscience,' I remember saying."
Kim Kap-soo said he eventually asked the writer how he wanted to die in the scene. He recalled, "They asked me, 'Do you want to die by sword, poison, or falling?' and I said, 'I want to die by drinking poison.'" He added, "While other team members went up to the mountains in Mungyeong, fought with swords, rode horses, and fell, I died on set by drinking poison."
