The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced on September 2 that 2 million won from the August King of the Month prize on the "Good Star" platform was donated in the name of singer Lim Young-woong. This donation will be used to support overall medical expenses such as hospitalization, surgery, and medication costs for children with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases.
This sharing was made possible by the support of the fandom "Hero Era," which turned into a donation through the "Good Star" platform. It is regarded as a meaningful case where support for a favorite artist expanded into social value. The total accumulated donations delivered through "Good Star" in the name of Lim Young-woong have reached 110 million won.
The funds raised so far have been used for a wide range of medical expenses, including surgeries, chemotherapy, and transplants for the children. This has provided practical help to families of patients facing financial difficulties. The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation stated that the donations will greatly aid the treatment of the children.
Lim Young-woong released his second full-length album, "IM HERO 2," on August 29. This is his first new full album in about three years since his debut full album "IM HERO," released in May 2022. The album contains a total of 11 tracks.
Lim Young-woong plans to meet fans through a nationwide tour starting in October. This tour is an important schedule to continue his musical activities and aims to strengthen communication with his fans.
