Stray Kids released their new album SKZ IT TAPE and the double title tracks "Do It" and "Fresh Play" on November 21. This album is their first work in about three months since their fourth full-length album KARMA released in August this year. Stray Kids presents a music series that reflects seven years of continuous musical experimentation since their debut, showcasing the hottest and most definite mood they want to express now through music, capturing the moment of conviction with the phrase "This is it!"
The opening track of the album SKZ IT TAPE, "DO IT," carries the message "Act boldly now with confidence." This reflects their story of enjoying today and creating new "IT" based on the infinite support and encouragement from their fans. The album includes a total of five songs: the double title tracks "Do It" and "Fresh Play," as well as "Holiday," "Photobook," and "Do It (Festival Version)." All songs on this album were directly produced by the group's in-house producing team 3RACHA members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han.
Stray Kids completed their largest-ever world tour with 56 performances across 35 regions domestically and internationally this year. They also made history by entering the US Billboard 200 chart at number one for seven consecutive times, a first in its 70-year history, and achieved their first solo stadium concert in Korea. With just over a month left in 2025, Stray Kids is making a comeback that perfectly caps off their best year.
The members of Stray Kids shared their thoughts on the album SKZ IT TAPE "DO IT" and the double title tracks "Do It" and "Fresh Play." Lee Know said, "We wanted to quickly give back the great love we received during the world tour, so we made a fast comeback." Hyunjin added, "Although it was a rapid comeback, the preparation process felt as thorough as for a full album." Felix said, "Since we are coming back quickly after three months, we are also very excited." I.N expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank STAY for liking this comeback and welcoming us warmly."
With this comeback, Stray Kids is starting a new music series called SKZ IT TAPE. Changbin explained, "We wanted to present another element of anticipation to our fans with a music series that feels different from full albums and mini albums." Bang Chan said, "It is to show the diversity and new challenges of Stray Kids' music." Han stated, "I want to show a deeper and richer Stray Kids as time goes by."
Regarding the choice of the double title tracks "Do It" and "Fresh Play," Lee Know explained, "'Do It' is a song that means to just do it instead of spending time hesitating and thinking." Seungmin said, "'Do It' confidently expresses the message of doing it first rather than hesitating." Felix expressed his expectations, saying, "The two songs with different charms will well represent the 'year-end Stray Kids.'"
The concept of "modern-day hermit" was born after creating the song "Fresh Play" first and then proceeding with the album production. Han said, "As we adapted it to the current era, the concept of 'modern-day hermit' seemed to emerge." The members revealed that during the album production process, they focused on "how to newly express Stray Kids' unique identity."
Bang Chan emphasized, "One of 3RACHA's great strengths is consistently working and meeting deadlines despite busy schedules." Han added, "There were many casual working days on this album where we did guide recordings, talked about daily life, and joked around."
Stray Kids expressed their gratitude for the passionate love in 2025, saying, "It feels like it was a year full of love. We will come back with activities that can repay that feeling." Lee Know wished, "I hope everyone had a happy year as well."
