Singer Lee Oh-wook won the final victory of JTBC's "Sing Again 4." In the final stage broadcast on the 6th, Lee Oh-wook earned the honor of winning after a fierce competition with Slowly, Kim Jae-min, and Dorado. Combining the judges' scores and viewer votes, Lee Oh-wook scored a total of 3,051.06 points and received a prize of 300 million won.
In his winning speech, Lee Oh-wook expressed his emotions, saying, "A few years ago, when I was struggling, I promised myself I would never cry again, but on a good day like today, I will cry with gratitude." He added, "I just challenged myself and sang only the songs I like. I will continue to sing tirelessly in the future."
Dorado, who took second place, said, "I am grateful and honored to be able to make my name known," and expressed love and thanks to his family. Third-place Kim Jae-min said, "I am happy to be able to give my parents a sofa as a gift. I will show you a better side of me in the future." Fourth-place Slowly conveyed sincere feelings, saying, "I will never forget the nervousness I felt during the preliminary judging."
The final competition was held in two rounds: a free song and a new song. In the first mission, Dorado passionately sang Jeon Ram-hui's "Study of Memory," scoring 781 points and ranking first in the interim tally. Then, in the second new song mission, he earned 799 points with "Light Up," produced by GroovyRoom, setting a new record for the highest score. Lee Hye-ri praised Dorado's stage, saying, "I don't know what he can't do. He danced well and gave a perfect performance."
Before the airing of "Sing Again 4," there were concerns due to the emergence of competing programs, but the appearance of hidden talented singers who sing well alleviated these worries. Various participants, including surprise appearances by Jadu and Eun-gyo, were given opportunities to be reappraised. However, controversies regarding the evaluation method and the composition of the judges still existed. Due to the ambiguity of having an even number of judges, doubts were raised about the selection of passers and failures in the event of ties.
On the final stage, Lim Jae-beom, who recently announced his retirement, gave a spectacular congratulatory performance. He sang "Turn Up the Radio Loudly" with junior participants and performed his new song "Life is a Drama," showing the true nature of a musician. Lim Jae-beom stated, "I still have many schedules left, including a Seoul concert, and I will finish performing by May this year."
The final was decided by combining 30% judges' scores for the free song and new song stages, 20% for the first and final new song scores, 10% for online pre-voting scores, and 40% for real-time text and online voting scores. Lee Oh-wook said, "I only challenged myself. I just sang the songs I like, and I am simply grateful that there is a good result."
Second-place Dorado said, "Thanks to 'Sing Again 4,' my name has become known, and I am grateful and honored," adding, "The journey was not easy, but thank you for being by my side." Third-place Kim Jae-min expressed, "I am so happy to be able to give my parents a sofa," and said, "I will show a cooler side of me in the future." Lastly, fourth-place Slowly said, "I think I will be able to sleep comfortably when I go home," and added, "I will always carry that nervousness with me and continue to share music."
