Group Seventeen set a record for the most entries in the annual album chart with six albums. According to the Circle Chart 2025 annual chart released on January 9, Seventeen placed five versions of their 5th full-length album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' in the top 100 of the album category: the standard edition (2nd), kit edition (94th), and Weverse edition (99th), along with SEVENTEEN members S.Coups and Mingyu's 1st mini album 'HYPE VIBES' standard edition (24th), BSS's 2nd single album 'TELEPARTY' standard edition (45th), and Hoshi and Woozi's 1st single album 'BEAM' standard edition (61st). They demonstrated their status as a 'Super IDOL' by placing all the albums they released last year within the rankings.
The 5th full-length album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' surpassed 3 million cumulative sales for the year. This figure combines the standard, kit, Weverse, and LP editions, making Seventeen a triple million-seller. This marks the team's seventh triple million-seller album, following their 9th mini album 'Attacca', 4th full-length album 'Face the Sun', 10th mini album 'FML', 11th mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN', best album '17 IS RIGHT HERE', and 12th mini album 'SPILL THE FEELS'.
'HAPPY BURSTDAY' ranked 2nd on the US Billboard main album chart, the 'Billboard 200'. With this, Seventeen achieved seven consecutive top 10 entries. Their musicality was also recognized. Billboard described the album as "showing the team's prime" and selected it as one of the '25 Best K-pop Albums of 2025: Staff Picks'.
The title track 'THUNDER' ranked on the Circle Chart 2025 annual chart in all categories: Global K-pop, digital, download, and streaming. The prominent US entertainment media outlet The Hollywood Reporter included this song in its '40 Best K-pop Songs of 2025'.
Last year, Seventeen demonstrated limitless expansion by releasing three unit albums. This achievement is attributed to the solid individual skills, unique personalities, and harmonious teamwork of the members. BSS topped both album and one chart upon their comeback. Hoshi and Woozi held sold-out fan concerts in five cities domestically and internationally, attracting about 100,000 attendees. S.Coups and Mingyu set the highest first-week sales for a K-pop unit album and achieved the highest K-pop unit ranking on the 'Billboard 200'.
Additionally, The8, Mingyu, and Vernon were nominated for the 'Favorite K-pop Collaboration' category at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in the US for 'Illegal + SEVENTEEN', a collaboration with British singer-songwriter PinkPantheress. Seventeen plans to continue active promotions this year.
Dk and Seungkwan will release their 1st mini album 'Soya-gok' on January 12 and begin activities with the title track 'Blue'. S.Coups and Mingyu will hold the 'CxM [DOUBLE UP] LIVE PARTY' starting at Incheon Inspire Arena from January 23 to 25, followed by shows in Aichi, Chiba, Busan, and Kaohsiung. In February and March, they will hold large stadium concerts titled 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN ASIA' in major Asian cities.
Through numerous albums and performances, Seventeen is solidifying their position in the K-pop market. They plan to continue communicating with fans through diverse musical experiments and activities.
