Kim Yong Bin passionately sings "Yesterday, Today, and" with a score of 99 points... Leading the "Golden Cup," surpassing Jung Seo-joo


Kim Yong Bin defeated Jung Seo-joo and took a step closer to the Golden Cup. On the episode of TV CHOSUN's "Geumtaneun Geumyoil" aired on the 9th, Son Beom-soo appeared as one of the three "Golden Stars." Son Beom-soo passionately sang his song "To You" on stage for the first time in 32 years, showcasing a strong presence. Singers representing the 1990s, Lee Beom-hak and Kim Guk-hwan, took the stage, delighting viewers. The broadcast recorded a 4.6% viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea, with a peak rating of 5.2%. This marked the third consecutive week of ranking first in daily comprehensive and cable channel ratings.

A "King of Songs proxy battle" unfolded between Kim Yong Bin and Jung Seo-joo. Kim Yong Bin selected Cho Yong-pil's "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" and scored 99 points. Jung Seo-joo chose Lee Moon-sae's "I Still Don't Know," but scored 94 points. As a result, Kim Yong Bin added a golden star and took the lead in the "Golden Cup" competition.

A rematch between Son Bin Ah and Bae Ah-hyun also took place. Son Bin Ah performed Kim Jung-soo's "You" but scored only 91 points. Son Beom-soo praised, "Bravo came out naturally." Then Bae Ah-hyun performed Bang Mi's "I Will Love This Fall," scoring 94 points. Kim Guk-hwan received 93 points for "Tatata." Bae Ah-hyun earned a golden star and became the winner with two victories.

A face-off between Chun Gil and Cheon Rok Dam was also held. Chun Gil passionately sang Kim Soo-chul's "A Flower That Never Bloomed," scoring 96 points. Son Beom-soo commented, "He sang with deep appeal." Cheon Rok Dam sang Lee Moo-song's "What Is Life," but made a mistake by missing lyrics and scored 95 points. With this victory, Chun Gil added a golden star and rose to the top.

In the match between American Oh Yoo-jin and Choo Hyeokjin, fortunes diverged. Choo Hyeokjin sang Lee Chi-hyun and Friends' "Gypsy Woman," scoring 96 points. Son Beom-soo described it as "a stage prepared with determination," and Kim Yong Bin said, "It was an amazing song choice." Oh Yoo-jin, performing last, scored a perfect 100 points with Joo Hyun-mi's "Tears of the Blues," securing the win. Oh Yoo-jin joined the 2-star ranks, while Choo Hyeokjin fell into a slump of three consecutive losses.

TV CHOSUN's "Geumtaneun Geumyoil" airs every Friday night at 10 PM. Kim Yong Bin won TV CHOSUN's "Mr. Trot 3," receiving a prize of 300 million won. The actual amount received after taxes is reported to be about 286.8 million won. Regarding plans for the prize money, Kim Yong Bin stated intentions to give some to his aunt, give gifts to members, and repay the fan cafe "Sarangbin."
