Singer Jung Dong-won donated the prize money from the King of Singers competition, raised through fans' support, to children with pediatric cancer and leukemia. On January 13, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced that Jung Dong-won donated 700,000 KRW of the prize money from the King of Singers competition via the donation platform SeonhanStar to support care and treatment expenses for children with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases.

This donation was made possible by the enthusiastic support of the fandom 'Universe Mobilization,' active on SeonhanStar. SeonhanStar is a donation platform that supports the positive influence of stars, where users watch videos and songs of singers participating in the King of Singers competition within the app and complete missions to cheer them on, and prize money is donated according to the rankings. Through SeonhanStar, Jung Dong-won has achieved a total accumulated donation amount of 53.71 million KRW to date, continuing steady acts of kindness.

The donation raised from the King of Singers prize money will be used for care and treatment expenses for children undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation's care and treatment expense support program aims to minimize treatment gaps by promptly assisting families facing sudden high medical costs with hospitalization fees, medication costs, and ancillary treatment expenses.

Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, said, "We are grateful for the warm support extended to the sick children," and added, "We support Jung Dong-won's continued good deeds and musical activities going forward."

Jung Dong-won will release the mini-album 'Small Collection Vol.2' at 6 p.m. on February 5. This album includes the new song "Crossing Today, Meeting Again Tomorrow" and a remake of Byun Jin-sub's "Again to You" as double title tracks, along with remakes of Jo Hang-jo's "Lie," Kim Kwang-seok's "Private's Letter," and Kim Jung-soo's "You."

Jung Dong-won will hold a fan concert at KINTEX in Goyang on the 13th of next month. Following that, Jung Dong-won will enlist in the Marine Corps Training Unit to fulfill military service obligations. Jung Dong-won's donations and musical activities are gaining attention for strengthening bonds with fans and demonstrating social responsibility.
