The group TWS ranked 2nd in the Oricon annual 'Rookie Ranking' in Japan. On January 16, Pledis Entertainment announced that TWS achieved the highest ranking among overseas artists in the 'Oricon Annual Ranking 2025' sales category by artist. The 'Rookie Ranking' is determined by combining sales amounts from singles, albums, streaming, music DVDs, and more. Oricon explained that TWS generated approximately 1.07 billion yen, about 10 billion Korean won, in sales during the tracking period from December 9, 2024, to December 7, 2025.
TWS entered the Japanese market last July with their debut single in Japan, "Nice to see you again" (original title はじめまして / Hajimemashite). This single ranked number one on several weekly charts of Oricon and Billboard Japan in its first week of release. Additionally, the single surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments, earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
TWS's first tour, "2025 TWS TOUR '24/7:WITH:US' IN JAPAN," attracted about 50,000 attendees over 13 shows in 6 cities. Tickets sold out in most cities, with additional restricted-view seats opened due to high demand, showing strong ticket sales enthusiasm. TWS also appeared at major music festivals in Japan, receiving great responses from audiences. They delivered powerful performances at the "Rock in Japan Festival 2025," "Countdown Japan 25/26," and Fuji TV's year-end special program "2025 FNS Music Festival."
TWS's global activities are also gaining attention. According to YouTube Music on January 15, TWS surpassed 100 million monthly viewers. This figure places them among the top K-pop boy groups, representing the number of global users who watched or listened to TWS's content on YouTube Music in the past 28 days.
TWS's successful entry into Japan and global expansion are further extending the influence of K-pop. They plan to continue engaging with fans through various activities. TWS is expected to attract even more attention through future musical achievements and stage performances.
