Billie releases first full-length album 'The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter 2'... Title track 'Jab', narrative set against a wilderness backdrop

Billy released their first full-length album, The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter Two, on the 6th at 6 p.m. through various music streaming sites, five years after their debut. This album is Billy's first full album since their debut in 2021 and serves as a continuation of the second mini-album of the same name released in 2022.

The album contains a total of 12 tracks, including the title track "ZAP." "ZAP" refers to a sudden shock and sings about the moment of blocking out pouring gossip and repetitive external noise to fully return to the "present self." With intense beats and the members' unique vocals and rapping, it expresses an unwavering self. The music video released alongside attracted attention with its narrative set against a wilderness backdrop, overwhelming scale, and distinctive mise-en-scène.

The sub-title track "WORK" is a hybrid track combining bass house and industrial hip-hop, with lyrics co-written by Moon Sua conveying the message of accepting even flaws as part of oneself and moving forward. The performance video for this song surpassed 1.35 million views on YouTube. Additionally, the album includes seven new songs such as "Secret No More," inspired by Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, "TBD," which deals with the uncertainty of relationships, "B'yond Me," a song of self-affirmation, "SOUPASTA," emphasizing individuality, and "OFF-AIR," highlighting behind-the-scenes moments. It also features four remix tracks and the Korean version of the Japanese mini-album's title track, "DOMINO ~ butterfly effect."

Si-yoon, Moon Sua, and Haram participated in writing the lyrics for this album, supported by a global team of producers. Support from Mystic Story colleagues continued as well. Sean stated, "Senior Yoon Jong-shin was the first to like our post, and seniors Son Tae-jin, Lucy, and junior Ark also decided to join the challenge. We are always grateful and determined to work hard."

To celebrate the album release, a showcase was held on the 6th at the SBS Prism Tower Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Moon Sua expressed her anticipation for the first full album, saying, "Finally, we have released our first full album. Since we worked hard on it for a long time, it's an album we are extremely confident in. I hope everyone loves all 12 tracks." Tsuki said, "It's an honor to show the album we have prepared for a long time to many people. It reminded me of our debut days. I hope we can show a more charming side of Billy. Please give us lots of support."

Billy plans to hold a special busking event with fans at 6:30 p.m. on the 7th, the day after the album release, at the Green Path in Mangwon Hangang Park, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
