Takuya and Kim Jaejoong met on KBS2TV's "Mr. House Husband 2." On the show, Kim Jaejoong spoke about his biological father, saying, "He asked me if I wanted to visit him, but I said I didn't want to see him," and added, "I only received a letter, but I don't even keep that letter now. I didn't have the courage like Takuya, nor the guts to forgive my father. Even now, I don't have the capacity to forgive."

Born in 1992, Takuya shared on the show, "I separated from my dad when I was in third grade and a stepfather appeared." He continued, "When I was young, I naturally thought he was raising me, but I now realize that's not something to take for granted," expressing gratitude toward his stepfather.
